About GetSUP
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the fastest-growing water sports, and Austria, with its clear Alpine lakes, warm Carinthian bathing lakes and the Danube, is a wonderful place to enjoy it. SUP combines balance, movement and nature, making it accessible for beginners and fun for experienced paddlers alike.
We are passionate about SUP and created this platform to make it easy to find stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals across Austria — whether near your home or while on holiday.
Here you can discover SUP rentals and rental stations on Austria's lakes and rivers, including Lake Wörthersee, Lake Ossiach, Lake Faak, Lake Millstatt and Lake Weissensee in Carinthia, the Salzkammergut lakes Attersee, Mondsee, Wolfgangsee, Traunsee, Fuschlsee, Hallstätter See, Grundlsee and Altausseer See, Lake Zell, Lake Achensee and Lake Plansee in Tyrol, Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland, Lake Constance (Bodensee) in Vorarlberg, as well as the Danube — the Old and New Danube in Vienna, the Wachau and Linz.
Most SUP rental locations offer complete rental packages, including a paddleboard, paddle and life jacket, often with optional extras like dry bags. Many places also provide beginner lessons, SUP yoga and tours, and rent other equipment such as kayaks, pedal boats, e-boats, wing and foil. A growing number of self-service SUP stations let you book online and pick up a board from a locker at any time of day.
